LETTER FROM

THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Dear Woodlawn Community,

The unwavering support and dedication of our extended Woodlawn family – including parents, students, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends – are instrumental in helping Woodlawn School foster its mission of inspiring lifelong learners who are responsible, contributing members of a diverse and global society.

Contributions to the ‘Blazer Fund play a vital role, accounting for approximately 5% of our annual budget. These essential resources drive academic exploration, encourage artistic expression, fortify our athletic programs, cultivate relationships, and support virtually every aspect of the enriching student-driven experience at Woodlawn. By investing in the ‘Blazer Fund, you empower us to advance our academic, athletic, and arts initiatives, enhance our campus facilities, and minimize tuition increases.

Your generosity supports:

+ Renovations in Woods Hall, Van Buren Hall, Barn, Lodge, and outdoor spaces.

+ Upgrades network, wi-fi capability, and enhanced security measures with new cameras and intercom/phones in classrooms

+ Expansion of experiential learning opportunities and off-campus experiences.

+ Providing top-tier professional development opportunities and training for our dedicated educators.

+ Strengthening and expanding our athletic, arts, and co-curricular opportunities and offerings.

Through your support of the ‘Blazer Fund, you express your appreciation and commitment to the intentionally innovative, and immersive educational experience that defines Woodlawn. Whether it’s the impactful moments on the court or the trails, in the science lab, the art studio, or the smaller everyday interactions in classrooms, hallways, or outdoor spaces – each moment plays a role in shaping the unique journey of every Woodlawn student.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your continued generosity and dedication to building futures together.

In Appreciation,

Holly Honeycutt

VOICE + CHOICE

STUDENT DRIVEN EXPERIENCES

We believe in student empowerment and the value of individual voices. Our approach to education is centered around student-driven experiences, where every individual has the opportunity to shape their learning journey. By providing students with voice and choice, we create an environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Our students are encouraged to take ownership of their education, explore their interests, and pursue their passions. Through this approach, students not only gain a deep sense of engagement and motivation but also develop the confidence and skills needed to thrive in a competitive and fast-paced world.

WITH GRATITUDE

THANK YOU

Thank you to the numerous ‘Blazer Fund donors who, through their unwavering support and generosity, champion the superior intellectual and emotional development of our students to ensure their continual growth and success, the professional development of our educators, and the advancement of our unique educational programs.
